Below is an official statement from Harmonik Management. We can only wish the group continued success.
For weeks we have touched upon the possibility of Harmonik being part of a nationally syndicated television show and today we are proud to finally confirm the good news. Harmonikhas been chosen to audition to be a part of NBC’s America’s Got Talent. In its third season, America’s Got Talent is produced by Simon Cowell, hosted by Nick Canon and judged by Sharon Osbourne, Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel. Though Harmonik previously auditioned for the show, we most recently received our confirmation for a taped audition in front of the judges scheduled for April 7 and 8, 2010. Therefore, we will be traveling to Orlando next week to do our best to represent Haiti as one of the first groups to be featured in the taped auditions of the show.
“We are very excited to have Harmonik do this, this is something new and fresh for the Haitian music industry to get a chance to display our talents to America on a national competition like this,” said Rodney Noel, Harmonik Manager. “It was hard to choose a song that we could try our best to perfect, but we finally all decided that we would do a cover of Leonard Cohen’s song, ‘Alleluia.’ Justin Timberlake has made it popular but we are adding our own flavor and hopefully America loves it enough to take us to the finals,” sharedSanders, Harmonik guitarist and vocalist.
As an outstanding feat for any group in our community, Harmonik is happy to share the news and knows that their loyal fans will support them as the show airs this summer at 9pm on NBC.
More updates will be shared upon availability, but we ask all of you to continue cheering us on to give us the strength and faith we need to make not only you proud, but also Haiti proud.
Thank you again to all our supporters and those who have continued to applaud our efforts and we can only hope that you remain in our corner.
