J. Cole’s The Sideline Story is the number one album in the country this week. A year ago no one would have thought this young man from North Carolina could have had a number one in anything, let alone an album. Now J. Cole is at the forefront of music where he belongs. It’s been a long two and a half years since he was signed to Jay-Z’s Roc-Nation imprint. What’s even more amazing about J. Cole’s success is that he has no real chart topper on Billboard and no real promotional buzz. All Jermaine has is a growing fan base and hard work added with dedication that drove his album to the top.
Music watchers and diehard fans simply can’t get enough of The Sideline’s Story. From to coast, the news of the release spread like a wild fire sweeping the nation.
J. Cole doesn’t plan to stop there. He’s already told Billboard Magazine that he’s already working on his sophomore album that is set to be in stores either by the spring time or early summer. J. Cole wants to continue pleasing his fans with his growth. As long as he stays true to himself, then he will be fine.
