CSMS Magazine has learned that Sweet Micky has hand-picked Haitian businessman, Daniel Rouzier, to the next Haitian Prime Minister. Rouzier is currently the Honorary Consul for Jamaica to Haiti appointed last year by the Jamaican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
Daniel Rouzier is the director of Sun Auto, a car dealership in Port-au-Prince, and he is also the president of E-Power, a privately owned electrical company. In an interview to CNN last year, e Rouzier promised to use his own money to bury 2,500 earthquake victims in “a compassionate and dignified manner.” No one knows for sure whether the Prime Minister Nominee has ever done what he said he was going to do.
Rouzier is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Food for the Poor (Haiti’s Division). These things look good in his résumé, and this may explain why Sweet Micky has picked him. His class of origin—something Micky has spent years flattering—will definitely play well into the minds of Haiti’s recalcitrant bourgeoisie that is fast losing steam, but that is utterly nostalgic for the restoration of the status quo ante.
Rouzier is also the brother of Fabrice Rouzier, musician of Mizik Mizik, a Haitian Compa band.
According to Haiti’s daily Le Matin, Rouzier would be the best preferred candidate among the names that had been previously rumored to be the close contenders to occupy the Primacy. Le also confirmed that Rouzier maintains close relations with the “political class.” Le Matin went on to confirm that Rouzier’s role would be to establish good relations with the international community, especially with Washington.
