Summer is just around the corner!

Yes, it is almost official. In a few days, summer sets to greet us. No one knows for sure it has in store for us. But if conventional wisdom dictates, it could be as wild as our past winter and spring. Remember how hot it was in January? And how cold it was in February? Seasoned flowers bloomed earlier in the year, only to wither and die a month later. A wild winter coupled with a wild summer is a dangerous recipe for what is coming. Already, wild tornadoes sent the plains wheeling with thousands of victims still do not know when, where and how they’re going to recover.

But even a rough summer will not stop us from doing what we know best: reading, vacationing, partying and picnicking. There is something that I put out every summer. That is, my Summer Reading List. It is due next week. Be on the lookout for it.

Also, summer time is the party time. It is when lovers romanticize their feelings and offer yet again an uttered vow to remain faithful until death do them part. I have a personal touch with summer. It was in a hot summer night that my husband and I exchanged our first kisses–a moment in my life that will never forget. It was in a raining summer day that he proposed to me, and I reciprocated in a hot leap. It was in warm summer night that he took me to a ballroom dance for the first time in my life. So, summer is a special season to me. What about you?
