What a day it was on the First Coast! It was one of those days one simply cannot ignore—perfect weather for an outdoor camping. It was 48 degrees at the World Golf Village this morning when my son Ardy and I went for a jog along the golf course. We were not alone. Neighbors and friends did the same thing. The pleasant weather kept on throughout the day. It was so pleasant that I took my wife for a cruise down on County Road 230 leading to Starke, some 40 miles west of WGV. On the way, we stopped near the Santa Fe Lake, where the picturesque view was breathtaking. Santa Fe Lake borders 4 counties: Bradford, Clay, Alachua and Putnam. I took a couple of snapshots as unforgettable souvenirs.
Admiring nature is also part of managing one’s daily living. For those of us who can afford it, a romantic ballad down the nearest park, or a trip down the closest town through forests and lakes could be the therapeutic remedy for all the overbearing, cranky and bitchiness that life never ceases to throw at us—at least for one day. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but the forecast for the Florida First Coast predicts a persistent pattern of beautiful weather up until Friday when the first freeze is expected.
