As we’re living the final hours of 2021, we can’t help thinking how difficult it was—a tough year as the world is still struggling to win over a pandemic that has already claimed the lives of millions of people across the globe. What’s so painful is that while Covid-19 continues to destroy lives, not everyone is experiencing it the same way. Poorer countries suffer the most because of their weak infrastructure to deal with a health crisis of this magnitude.
However, for those of us who were able to survive the year despite the odds, we must continue to be vigilant. Above and beyond the other resolutions for the upcoming year, victory over Covid-19 must top the priority list. Meanwhile, let’s continue to remain vigilant and hope that health officials and medical scientists find a solution to get rid of the coronavirus. Until then, take all safety measures to protect yourself and others.
