And the Staff
We can’t believe it’s already the end of a year, and the beginning of another. Like we do every year, we wrap ourselves with tons of resolutions, but only a half of them—if not less—will manage to come true. Yet, it is the dazzling moment we can’t move away from. As we celebrate the coming of a new year, let’s remind ourselves that not every one of us yearns for the festive season, especially those of us who in the past had lost a close relative. Let’s remind ourselves of the millions of deprived families around the world whose lives are just a nightmarish journey clotted in gross injustices inflicted upon them by those who are supposed to represent them, to protect them, and to provide for or guarantee their basic needs, their human rights. The wretched in Haiti, in Syria, The Philippines, in Sub Saharan Africa and in other dangerous places around the globe are the prime victims of this vexing reality.
In some cultures, a new year always comes with a scare, which explains the so many well wishes to one another. The scientific reasoning behind this lies with the fact life is a process, an infinite one. The chain of human existence MUST go through it in order to make way for new thoughts, new creations or inventions, new ideas and ultimately new ways to understand human behavior. Therefore in 2014, CSMS Magazine is committed to contributing in whatever way possible to make your life a little better, a little happier, and a little bit more rational—especially when it comes to strategic thinking. Finally, we can’t close this note without saying thanks—BIG THANKS—to all of our readers and supporters. Thank you for the trust and recognition. Thank you for everything! Without YOU, we’re nothing. Once again, from the bottom of our hearts, we’re wishing you a happy, productive and prosperous New Year! We Love You!
