The French songstress, who became famous in her own right in 1961 when she represented France in the Eurovision international festival, shows no sign of retiring. Then, she was 23. She won the competition and since has been a household name in France. Today, Isabelle continues to make her presence felt and more importantly continues to interpret Jean Ferrat’s oeuvres, her longtime companion with whom she remained faithful until Ferrat’s death in 2010. Ferrat was a French poet and beloved by millions of fans because of his progressive songs, singing on behalf of the poor.
