Oatmeal with Banana and Peanut Butter

Here is the best recipe of the week.

Ingredients (1 serving):

½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats

1 cup water or milk (dairy or non-dairy)

1 ripe banana, sliced

1 tablespoon natural peanut butter

½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Drizzle of honey or maple syrup (optional)

Pinch of salt

Instructions:

In a small pot, bring the water or milk to a gentle boil.

Stir in the oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and creamy.

Remove from heat and stir in the cinnamon, if using.

Pour the oatmeal into a bowl. Top with sliced banana and a spoonful of peanut butter.

Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if you’d like extra sweetness.

Tip: For added texture, sprinkle with chopped nuts, chia seeds, or a handful of granola.
