Harmonik on America’s got Talent

CSMS Magazine Staff Writers

All the rumors about Haitian band Harmonik supposed appearance on NBC’s American got talent can all be put to rest now because last night at approximately 9:45 pm Harmonik made their American TV debut on the talent show. Sanders Solon, one of the band lead singers, claimed that the money will go for support for the earthquake stricken victims of Haiti.

Nickenson Prud’homme, Sanders Solon, Mac D, and the rest of the group did an interview before the performance. They were being questioned by the host of the show himself, Nick Cannon, husband of Mariah Carey. The Haitian musicians expressed their sincere and utmost patriotism about  how being a part of the semifinals would truly mean a lot for them and how also they would use the $1 million dollar prize to help rebuild their country of Haiti. Solon said the group would use the money to help provide supplies, food, etc.

The song the boys performed on stage was a heartfelt Caribbean rendition of old 80’s pop gospel hit hallelujah, which brought the audience and even the host of the show Nick Cannon to tears. The performance was such a success that all three judges advanced the band to the second round along with the overwhelming support of the audience. This means they will compete for the winning prize in Las Vegas, NV.

After the group walked out of the stage, the host Nick Cannon asked the band backstage to describe their feeling, and lead singer and guitarist Sanders Solon answered simply that the feeling was indescribable, and that they all felt blessed with the opportunity to spread their music to the next level.
