Orlando, Florida—The American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Language better known as ACTFL is once again in Orlando, Florida for a three-day conference, exhibiting hundreds of publishers, tons of presentations and more. It’s all about finding the right materials and strategies to make the instructional deliveries much more efficient in our foreign language classrooms. Educators from across the country and beyond are rendezvoused here at the Convention Center on the famous International Drive to savor this latest gathering of pedagogical extravaganza.
Materials and goodies for Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, and Russian learners are being giving away for free, including beautiful posters that can make the classroom environment quite conducive to learning. Also, lots of Chinese materials can be found at the main exhibit hall, especial for teachers who teach beginning Chinese. There are interactive CDs that infuse culture into the lesson to spice interest in the target language. Major news organizations are also at hands, including RFI (Radio France Internationale), TV 5 Monde promoting their website filled with interactive materials for students learning French. The event goes on until tomorrow afternoon. More pictures can be found on our Facebook Fan Page: www.facebook.com/csmsmagazine
